Development of the Final Design for the Residential Component

In line with the masterplan in which it is embedded, the final design for two small public housing buildings explores how to integrate the free-plan condominium typology without creating an unwalkable offset of ground around their footprint.

The buildings rest on three supports that house vertical circulation, bicycle parking, and waste collection rooms. The remaining ground-level area is left open, and through these voids, the design articulates the relationship between the two buildings and their surroundings.
